Sending Data Files
Whenever possible, it's much more efficient
to send data files via email than by mailing a floppy disk or CD-ROM. Floppies
are frequently damaged in transit (as hard as that is to believe).
With a very slow and unreliable Internet
connection on our end, it is very important that files be compressed to their
smallest size before attaching them to emails.
Some good zipping programs that will
compress, and combine multiple files into one easier to handle file can be found
at:
www.WinZip.com
www.thefreesite.com/easyzip111.htm
Our favorite program for working with files
is the
PowerDesk from
VCom. It is much more powerful
than Windows Explorer and also includes built in zipping functions.
