State Tax ReturnsEach state requires different copies of federal forms and schedules to be attached. It’s very annoying to the client when the state tax agency sends a notice requesting a federal form or schedule.About seven years ago, after having that happen with the Arkansas DFA, I started attaching a complete copy of the Federal return, including all backup schedules, to every state tax return. I have yet to receive any complaints from any state agency that we have provided them with too much information.ArkansasCaliforniaMissouri
